VENERE IN TEATRO Dance Festival Le mezze stagioni | 5th editionSeptember 1 – 21, 2025 | Forte Marghera, Venice Mestre

Drupa Centre takes part in Venere in Teatro – Dance Festival with a double event dedicated to screendance, in collaboration with Piattaforma Lago.

On one side, the installation Rebel Retinas – visions of independent women authors between body and cinema, featuring six works by international artists and emerging collectives. On the other, the talk Choreographers of moving images, exploring the territories where dance encounters the audiovisual dimension.

The curators of Drupa Centre in conversation with Alessandro Amaducci, in a meeting dedicated to artists who have shifted their choreographic research into the cinematic language.

Choreography does not end on the stage: it expands beyond the body, encountering the audiovisual. Through experiences, visions, and artistic practices, the talk explores how dancers and choreographers become filmmakers, turning gesture into image and opening new trajectories between dance and cinema.
