Selection of projects for the Drupa Centre Residency Program, 2026 season.

The call is open to individual artists and emerging or independent professional collectives working with a professional focus in the visual and performing arts.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: 18 January 2026

Drupa Centre, a transversal, open, and plural curatorial project, aims to host and highlight the multiplicity of current tendencies and research within today’s artistic landscape. It seeks to be a place of encounter and transformation — a home-forge where poetic visions can express themselves, meet, and generate new trajectories. Our artistic residencies offer a context in which the intimate and domestic dimension intertwines with the aesthetic and poetic layers of creative processes. Here, time is not subordinated to production but becomes an ally for exploration and dialogue. Immersed in the quiet and rhythm of nature, artists are invited to live and create in a shared space that nurtures human and cultural exchange.

CALL FOR ENTRIES

We are looking for projects with a distinct character: already completed works or works in progress, and experiments in dramaturgy, choreography, composition, audience engagement, languages, and spaces.

A call to those who inhabit and traverse the borders of art, pushing toward new expressive trajectories in dance, theatre, film, music, painting, photography, and writing. An invitation for those who seek to tell and reveal themselves through intimate or bold nuances.

Submitted projects will be evaluated by the artistic direction for inclusion in the residency program. At the end of each residency, a public sharing may be scheduled.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

The call is open to individual artists as well as groups (up to a maximum of 4 members), both national and international. Unpublished projects, works already presented to the public, and research processes in progress are all eligible. Technical autonomy in managing sound and lighting is preferred but not mandatory.

TO APPLY

You are invited to share the material that best represents your project or research and helps present it in the most effective way. To participate, please fill out the form available at the following link by 18 January 2026:

PROJECT SELECTION

The selection will be carried out by the artistic direction, which will carefully review every proposal, giving priority to those capable of integrating meaningfully and coherently into the 2026 season. All applicants, regardless of the outcome, will receive a response. For the selected projects, the curatorial team will work closely with the artists to develop a personalised residency proposal, tailored to the potential of each project. The selection process is not merely a moment of choice, but an opportunity to begin a creative dialogue. Together with the selected artists, all organisational aspects (timelines, periods, and modalities) will be defined in detail.

All matters concerning accommodation, meals, travel costs, fees, etc. will be discussed directly with the artists only if their project is selected. The curatorial team will contact the selected artists with a customised residency proposal suited to the potential of the project within the spaces of Drupa Centre.

Each residency period is expected to last up to one week.Drupa Centre will host artistic residencies in April, June, and July 2026.
